Roald Dahl’s novel The Witches released to the Public in 1983 and later released as the movie The Witches directed by Nicolas Roeg in 1990, used Special effects such as Tracking,Low/High angles and Tail away.

Tracking is when you follow the item or person, it is used to make you feel like you are there. In the stroller scene This Camera Technique is used to make you feel scared for the stroller heading to the edge of the cliff it also made you feel like you are there and want to save the baby.

High angle is when look down, it is used to make you feel in power and safe. In the treehouse scene this is used to make to make you feel safe and powerful against the witch.

Low angle is when you're looking up. It is used to make you feel powerless and unsafe. In the treehouse scene the witch looks up at Luke and wants him to come down because he will be powerless.

Tail away is when  the object or person walks/drives away, this

Is used to make you feel left out. This special effect is used when Luke has been found as he ran out we followed until he reached to door and we were left to watch what we could.

There are many camera techniques used in the film to make us have a better understanding about what is happening in this film by Nicolas Roeg.
